ok i dont get my life

this year has to be categorized as the busiest and most stressful year of my life.

there was just so many things that i had on my to do list this year.

LOTR symphony performance
Kaleidescope
all the choir concerts
wednesday at one recital
chamber singers having a full repertoire and preparing for our european tour
the OPERA

and on top of it all i still have a jury to perform. gotta love that whole performance major thing

dont get me wrong though, im not in any way complaining.

i love being busy and going to endless rehearsals; its doing what i love to do. i cant wait until next year.

now on to what i dont get. i have got to have the worst luck with guys.
i mean really, its getting out of hand.

so yeah everyone has that best guy friend that they are secretly in love with or have feelings for...its not a new thing. that happened to me, not fun. we tried dating and it was too weird so now we're back to being best friends. and its great because i never really had a best guy friend before. i dont know how i wasnt friends with him before this year but hes one of the greatest people i know. our relationship is so comfortable and normal now, we never should have dated, it was just dumb. i can live with that though.

now theres a few guys ive liked since i first saw them and again i know nothing is going to happen. one of them is becoming a really good friend of mine and we all know that status is the kiss of death when you want to take the relationship any further.

the other one im just trying to get to know and he seems like a really cool guy. i dont know. im just a goof. the girl people like to have around because shes good for a laugh and does dumb things which makes everyone feel smarter.

Lesley Friend.

I have never been so honored to be in her presence than i did tonight. I get to go to school with her and see her everyday. she was simply magnificent and i cant wait to see the day that she opens at the Met. ok so lets here it for the most surreal 24 hours ever...well maybe 36 hours.

ok so lets start with the snow. good time by the way. so go to the music building after i heard about the horrible theft (how anyone could do that is beyond me) and im greeted by the williams hall crew, plus todd. bruce asks me if i was going to the diner with them so i say sure whynot these people are fun. so me, bruce, marissa and ed pile into ashleys car and drive to six brothers. chris is picking up everyone else and apparently minesh and jon kinne are already there. what a group, these people are so fun. so we get there and the boys play musical bathroom stall, taking turns going and each restating in turn that the bathroom "smells so great i could eat it" or "is the bathroom on the menu cause it smells yummy." odd. i know. so we eat and i am bombarded by text messages by 4 people in this order, joe, ed, jay and dan debaun. ed is sitting RIGHT NEXT TO ME and jay is at the other end of the table. joe is in his room and dan is in traffic.

so i feel it is my turn to visit the restroom and it does indeed smell like fruit, which is yummy. on my way back i almost literally run into none other than pat valentino. hi pat how are you? going to the bathroom? alright thats great. he was the last person i would expect to RUN INTO on my way back from the bathroom.

fast forward...we bullshit and have fun at dinner and have a great time...went back to my room to get clothes for the night cause i was gonna stay in one of the apartments in the village (the boys or the girls) got back and decided to watch napoleon dynamite. we werent drunk yet so it was soooooo dumb. todd and i were looking at each other confused cause we couldnt understand it. then we came to the realization that there was nothing to understand. so we drank a little more and then we didnt care about the dumb movie anymore. it was really early but people started going to bed cause they were tired. chris dugan, ashley, marissa, ed and i went into the boys apartment to watch spaceballs which was also not really funny. IM SORRY I DONT KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH ME. it just doesnt do it for me. ashley passed out and ed took chris and i back to campus. i got back and was so full of energy that i started iming everyone i know that was on campus and my friend eric about playing in the snow.

no one wanted to play with me...:(

so i went to hang out with my friend and i got back at 7 in the morning.

this is where the night got weird.

i walked back into the room, took my boots off and passed out on my bed. heres a list of things on my bed: choir folder
giant bowling bag
all my clothes that i packed for the village and then emptied out on my bed
planner and rep music
coat and scarves
pleather purse
corduroy and denim jackets and jeans from my costume change earlier in the day

i slept ON all of that and i was still fully clothed. like i could have woken up and walked out of my room ready for the day. my contacts were still in. WHAT WAS I THINKING.
i actually thought about this when i was walking back to my room and i looked at my bed and said, "fuck that" and fell down. i wasnt even drunk anymore i was just THAT lazy.

so i wake up at about 12-12:30 and get ready for the day. meaning pull myself out of bed and throw myself in the shower. literally. im lucky i remembered to take my socks off.

i go to pat valentino rehearsal and then chamber singers were i was the only soprano 1 there cause kate was at the convention and tina was MIA and liz is ill but there so she was listening to all the great notes i was making up. then i went back to my room and went to sleep. this was at 3:45. at 5 jacey calls me and i dont pick up. right after liz calls me and i dont pick up. i decided to go online and talk to her cause i wasnt in the frame of mind to find my phone under my mountain of crap on my bed! so she tells me that she going to pick me up at 6:45 to go see jacey's new apartment and hang out and i say alright call me at 6:30 to make sure i was awake. pass out again. phone rings at 6:30 ON THE DOT. i get up and wake roommate up cause we have been sleeping for 3 HOURS! after we both compose ourselves liz calls me back and says her call wont start. so i notify the entire department, or just those that are online, and jared penn comes to the rescue with a jumper cable battery thing that we take to the village to start liz's car. we sit in the car for about 10 minutes and then start to go and the car stops and shuts off. it was weird. liz tries it a few times more and then we just decide to go inside and wait. we call jacey and she says she would pick us up s we take her up on her offer cause the car isnt looking good.

jacey comes and picks us up and we go to Tinga's to get food and take it back to the apartment. HE APARTMENT IS GORGEOUS! IM SO JEALOUS! ok enough of that. we watch sex and the city and devour the food and eat ice cream to boot. it was a great girls night. we were talking about everything. i miss girls night. i havent had one in forever. and when i did, it wasnt as free as this evening was. i love my girls!

so now im here, staring at my bed debating on whether i want to clean it to sleep on it or not. either taht or go back out and do something. i have no idea. i just thought my last day and a half was so odd i had to write about it.
